In 2006  Susanne Ostwald and Ingvar Helgason founded the label Ostwald Helgason. Susanna ( Ostwald) and Ingvar ( Helgason) met while at a design studio in London.

After Susanna and Ingvar  won two highly sought design grants from the German government they were invited during Paris Fashion Week to show their very first collection at the German embassy. In 2008 were invited Ostwald Helgason to show their collection during Berlin Fashion Week as part of a showcase of young and fresh talent.

Their inspiration includes nature, artwork, and traditional mens tailoring. They work as a team on the  look of the collections while individually Ostwald is responsible for the colors and print design and Helgason for the silhouettes.
