I’ve been on a break for work for awhile.  I had a week off…and I decided to take my mom and aunt out. My aunt is battling breast cancer so I’ve been taking the time to do more with her.

All of my friends kept telling me to try this place out.

Pecan Crusted Trout my Mother got this. It was pretty good.

Ribs that my Aunt had…they fell off the bone.

Cat fish and Cheesy Grits

My Auntie! <3<3

All Done

All Done!

I would clearly recommend this place to all who love clean and nice soul food.

Everything as good. I also had a drink called a Georgia Peach …it had corn Whiskey in it…thats all I will say…

I also had the Jumbo. It was so yummy…and it could have been eaten as a meal with the yummy cornbread they served.

Our waitress was a pretty lady named Stacy…She was so good that she got a $25 dollar tip from us. She was the best actually. She suggested that we make reservations if we come during the night on Friday thru Sunday.

I was never a fan of Root Beer Floats…in fact I hate root beer.  Anyway AGAINN puts a different spin on it…using the good stuff; real beer. So I think I may slide through and try one of these pretty soon.  Info below provided by CITYSHOPGIRL.com

This summer AGAINN offers a treat to beat the heat by offering one of three beer float creations. Priced at $9 each, the Guinness Beer Float with Madagascar Vanilla Bean Ice Cream; Guinness Beer with Stout Ice Cream, and Vanilla Cream Soda with Strawberry Ripple Ice Cream are each served in a cold clear glass with four scoops of ice cream and topped with fresh whipped cream for extra decadence.

Had the pleasure of having a late night dinner date with the new guy I’m dating. Recently I lost a bet and took him to Vapianos …after we ate we decided to walk around Dupont Circle. It was about 12:00 am when we started walking back to the car and we saw that one restaurant was still open. Rogue States had a warm hip diner feel. As i sneaked to use their bathroom…I walked past the counter and noticed the huge burger patties.  I kept walking….

more about “Shecky’s Girls Night Out“, posted with vodpod

I linked up with my Best Friend Ken last night! We both go to school, we both work, and it’s finally paying off she is getting one of her many degrees at the end of this upcoming quarter.  So we went out and ventured in Georgetown.

It was really sad to see how many stores and restaurants  that are landmarks in Georgetown shutting down.

We walked around and window shopped!  Had so much fun!

I had to give a shout out to Spring first! I got a mani with a new creamy green color.  I got my toes in this color also…I’m so in love with it.

Super late with this post, but I’m cleaning out my camera.  I went out with my friend and fellow blogger Franky J, personally known as Dana. We went out to  Asian Spice in Gallery Place.  The food and my one drink was amazing!

I was so happy that the sun decided to break last Sunday…
