Night Out at Niemans

My friend and I fellow Blogger Franky J went to the free shopping event at Niemans. I think I mentioned it before…well I’m sure I did.

When I first walked in I gravitated here of course.

I had such a great time, we were greated at the door by CityShopGirl.com. We received our cocktail rings the allowed us to recieve a free blush from the Bobbie Brown Counter. I was worried since it was one color being given our to everybody, but they where smart enough to get shade that worked on everybody at least my skin tone

There was a create your own cupcake Bar. The couple who run this bakery met on match.com, and opened up this bakery. They also have a book coming out about their story. I met the husband, he was so nice.

This is my cupcake I choose Birthday Sprinkles, and if you can see the card thats the man responsible for the delicious cupcakes.

I got this idea from another blogger. I thought I would give it a shot.

Currently: Reading

I actually only read this when I’m on the bus from work and school…currently not holding my attention as much as before, but I do have a lot on my mind. I think I may have to start over.

Currently: Wish I was here… CARIBANA 2010.

Last year I went to caribana and played Mas…which is dressing up in pretty skimpy but traditional costumes and you are the entertainment for the carnival. I had such a blast, and it’s this weekend, but I couldn’t make it up there…This is the band i played with last year to give you an idea of what I had on.

Currently: obsessing about, my ASOS Nautical Tank

This is the shirt that I ordered from ASOS. It’s in the mail currently shipping from the UK. I want it here now! I ordered white though.

Currently: Thinking about remodeling.

I really want a new headboard and dresser for my room…my headboard is pretty much hanging by a thread…I want something that Low but not to a point where i can’t get up. Only thing everything else in my room is super tall…and i want some vintage stuff in there too…

Very Nice but it wouldn’t match with my room unless it was black.

Currently: Saving my Pennies for these boots.

Fall is coming and I’m probably a little too excited. I want these so bad.

I love Mark Fast ever since he showed regular models, and “real” models on his runway last year. He is a guest designer at TopShop this season. I’m pretty sure these are going to sell out. I personally won’t bother. Your body must be sick to wear these pieces. I’m still in love with everything regardless.

It’s summer of course and it’s the season for “All White” affairs all over the DC Area. Well, lets just say that I think It’s time for change. Caribana 2010 Band Launch

Last year I went to Caribana and played Mas. Those of you who don’t know what that means. It means that i dressed up in the traditional costumes of Caribana (Carnival) and march the parade route with the music trucks. Caribana which is held in Toronto is much bigger then any Carnival Celebration in North America. I loved it, but this time I have to wait to go to Miami to play which sucks because i really like Toronto’s Festival a lot!

Anyway they posted this years costumes with the band section that i played with and won last year. The outfits are skimpier then i remember…but guess what its carnival…and i have time to lose a few fluffy pounds.

I’m really loving the first couple of outfits. So I think I want the one with the big head piece, or the big back piece since i don’t like showing my back.

There are a lot of events around DC revolved around our love of the movie. So i thought that I would post a few events, and items that might spark your interest.
