Wow, thanksgiving is two days away! It’s crazy that I won’t be cooking this year. I’ll be with my grandfather house hoping and meeting new family from Trinidad and St. Vincent. I’m super excited to find more family. As the holidays approach I wanted to try my hand at “seasonal” post. With all of the holiday shindig’s on my calendar I wanted to find some pieces that are easy to add, simple in structure, and conversation starters when mingling.
I’ve always been a fan of clutches, but it seemed like every time I went online doing research, these mini clutches had price tags high enough to make my unborn children’s children’s eyes roll. I mean SERIOUSLY $1200.00 for a little box with a clasp? I get luxury but lets face it, how many times will normal people need to rock that? So I came up with a solution, I finally took advantage of the ShopStyle.com App, and picked some of my favorite mini clutches that would go great with a wide spectrum of holiday outfits.

PS. So you know that movie Mean Girls and the Girl Gretchen tried to make the word fetch happen? So here I am pushing around this new nickname I’d like to be known for “Elle”, and someone finally called me that, and I looked at her like she was crazy at the dinner table. Word to the wise, if you’re trying to make something “happen” be more alert. Haha.
I hope you all have a great Christmas Holiday! When you all get back I have a lot of post in store for the holiday season!!
I have an open door policy to feedback.
Let me know kind of post you’d like you see in conjunction with the holidays?
Holiday Outfits, accessories, Holiday Dishes (including appetizers), Holiday Party Planning. I want to know!
Last night was so fun. I strapped on my new Prada shoes, and dress and went out with my good friends to celebrate my 25th birthday! I had so much fun, I couldn’t believe it!! Anyway…two bottles of Moet later I twisted my ankle and couldn’t feel my feet. I lasted longer then I thought I would in the shoes! Anyway the next day I woke up in need of Coconut water and food. I was blessed enough to have learned how to make a little something out of nothing when it comes to food. I decided to make a breakfast burrito. I know eggs should be simple enough but I saw (this) perfect way to make eggs. I cooked a couple of sausage links, a bell pepper blend and topped it with the things I love in a burrito.
Don’t forget to warm your tortilla for about 10 seconds!
Of course you can put whatever you like on there, I opted for Hot Sauce and Spicy Salsa!
Quick and easy Breakfast!
Very yummy!

My weekend never really starts until Saturday Night. Since I work full time, and I have four classes Friday and Saturdays. I got to enjoy the afternoon by shopping. I started off by picking up my tickets at Nordstroms for the Cosmetic Trend Show. I love attending this show. It’s March 12th at 8:00. Stop pass the Nordstroms at Pentagon City to get your tickets. I went to get my nails done, and tried a new essie color called Nice is Nice. It’s a Pretty creamy lilac color. I’m so ready for the Spring to arrive.
On my shopping trip I stopped off in Sephora.
I’m loving this new Mascara. I think this is my new favorite.
Finally Got my Black Pearl, Bloomingdales Online has this. I may do this as a Giveaway since I have two of them. What do you think?
This Michael Kors Cuff was on sale. It reminded me of Hermes, the red, the gold pyramids.
I can’t wait to pair this with something.
Keeping up with my Baking, and love of all this Chocolate I made Peanut Butter Squares. I adapted this from Nigella Lawson’s Cookbook “How to be a domestic Goddess“. Thanks to someone leaving a comment and reminding me. I tried this super easy recipe.
Well mine didn’t come out as smooth at the top. I will try these again though. I would sugguest using Parchment paper at the bottom for easy removal of the squares.
I also made a One pot Black Bean Soup recipe during the week. It came out great, but I didn’t blend it like the recipe called for. It came out great, and it very healthy. Once I get the okay. I’ll link the recipe. Or you can google “the gracious pantry” and find it there as well.
