Hey all! Happy Friday! I wanted to share something fun and out of the ordinary that I did last night! I blindly entered a little giveaway with a tweeter names Modi he runs DCtoBC a hip hop based blog. I should also mention that i have a little twitter crush on him, he is so handsome! He does great things in DC, and he graduated from Boston College hence the name. Anyway he asked us to tweet him if we were interested in attending the Heineken Red Star Soul Tour. I RT’ed thinking oh, whatever. A day before the event I got an email saying I would have two tickets waiting at the door for me. I was so excited then realized that I would be there alone, I called friends, all of them were busy. What was I to do? I went on their FB page and looked, and there were a lot of people who couldn’t get tickets because there were never tickets on sale to begin with. What a way to say “exclusive” . I found someone on the FB fan page and had them meet me to get them in. Although I don’t remember them saying thanks, I was happy to let someone in with my blessing.

I get inside. I see a few people that I know, but don’t know really well. Awkwardddd….standing next to them and not really talking. I tried to make conversation but no avail lol. The twitter gods must have heard my prayers because I went to check my phone and Voila! Sandra G a DC blogger was there! She said hey, I’m on my way there! Find me! So i did! Yay!! After sipping on free Heineken’s and munching on Shrimp and Jerk Wings we made our way upstairs, mingled and then the show started! Adrienne Balion hosted the show, and there were great performances but Cyhi the Prince and Pusha T one half of the rap group The Clipse. These two are signed to the G.O.O.D music label I beliece that Kayne West has something to do with it. They did a great job, and although it was a small intimate crowd it was so live! I had a blast! We were right up front! I tried an array of photo editing styles! Let me know what you think!
